EYFS (Reception and Nursery)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for taking the time to look at our website and considering us as the school for your child. We are excited to show you our learning environment and help you explore and see the positive start to school life your child could achieve if they were to join us in our Early Years class. We have adopted the \u2018Early Excellence\u2019 approach in our Early Years setting and this includes continuous provision, enhancements to learning and directed teaching. Our teaching space is set up so that children can learn, build on experiences, explore and develop a love of learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our EYFS classroom is a truly exceptional start to every child\u2019s learning journey. We build strong foundations for future success through rich, engaging experiences that spark curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Our children thrive both indoors and outdoors, with purposeful learning opportunities including those that happen during outdoor play, providing meaningful opportunities to explore, discover, and grow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a Little Wandle school, we ensure all children get off to a flying start with early reading, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel. We carefully meet the needs of every child \u2014 offering support where needed and challenge for those ready to go further \u2014 so that all children are empowered to reach and exceed their potential. Our nurturing, ambitious approach to teaching ensures every child feels valued, confident, and excited to learn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We aim to make learning fun and encourage children to become independent, make choices and become confident self-motivated learners. We have a dedicated and motivated early years team who work hard to achieve the very best for every child and to ensure that the children feel happy, safe and secure. We recognise and value the support parents provide as important partners in their children\u2019s education and provide opportunities for parental involvement.\u00a0 We invite parents into school throughout the year where parents can join in with activities and see what fun we have!\u00a0 Sharing progress is an ongoing partnership between home and school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Nursery children, we offer funded 15 and 30 hours childcare for children age 3+.  Children are eligible to join our setting in the term immediately after their third birthday.  We aim to be flexible and arrangements can be made to pay for extra sessions for families only eligible for the 15 hours. Wraparound childcare can be provided by our onsite Before and After School Club from 7.30am until 6pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Monday mornings during term time, we welcome parents and toddlers into the building for a \u2018Toddler Group Session\u2019 which runs from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. This has provided a fantastic transition process for our new starters and has been a great way of integrating with our local community.\u00a0 New families join us every week, so why not pop along and see what we have to offer?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
